The differences

Where they really differ

A login, or a verified person

SuiteFiles clients log in to Connect with Xero, Google or a Connect account. That shows they control an account. It doesn't show who they are. In Trust Circle, every client verifies once in the ZealiD app with an ID document and a face check. It stays valid for two years, with no fee per check, and your client doesn't pay either.

Ask what level your clients sign at

SuiteFiles calls its signatures "legally binding" and doesn't publish the level. Ask them two things: is it a simple, advanced or qualified signature, and who issues the certificate? Then look the provider up on the EU Trusted List. ZealiD AB is listed in Sweden as a qualified trust service provider.

Which one is right for you?

Choose SuiteFiles if:

  • Your firm runs on Microsoft 365 and wants files kept in your own tenant
  • You need full document management with Outlook filing
  • You use Xero and want it connected
  • You don't need a qualified signature or an identity check

Choose Trust Circle if:

  • You must know who your client is, and keep that proof
  • Your clients sign documents that need a qualified signature
  • You don't want your client portal tied to Microsoft 365
  • You are a small firm and want to start from €40 a year
  • You verify clients for AML and want that next to their files

Use both if: you manage internal documents in SuiteFiles. Keep it as your document system, and use Trust Circle for verified clients, the files you share with them, and qualified signatures.

What Trust Circle doesn't do

Live sanctions and PEP screening, beneficial ownership checks and the risk decision stay with your firm.

It isn't a document management system. Internal files stay in your own Microsoft 365 or document system.
